International Climate Initiative publishes 2024 Annual Report

The new Annual Report provides a compact overview of the IKI's prioritised fields of action, funding statistics and impact analyses of IKI projects worldwide.

In 2024, there were two major events for the International Climate Initiative (IKI): the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD COP 16) in October and the UN Climate Change Conference (COP29) in November. The issues that were important there were also the focus of the IKI last year.

The IKI worked on this through its funded projects to

  • leverage private sector investments
  • support the global energy transition,
  • press ahead with the decarbonisation of industry,
  • mainstream biodiverstiy into climate action,
  • strengthen the role of IPLC in biodiversity conservation,
  • strengthen reslience,
  • secure water resources and promote ecosystem-bases adaptation.

The new IKI Annual Report provides a detailed insight into these priority fields of action of the funding programme in several chapters. It also provides comprehensive statistics on the use of funding and the impact of IKI projects. The report also looks back at the IKI's engagement in the two major conferences and many other events in which the IKI was active in 2024.
