Beyond the priority area of funding, ZUG establishes centres of excellence, applied research labs and advisory services, and operates these on behalf of the Federal Government. We see ourselves as a thought leader, promoting innovative, integrated approaches for environmental protection, conservation and climate action, and offering our clients consulting services based on our strategic expertise. We develop knowledge platforms and know-how, network stakeholders together, and work them to create new ideas and solutions.
Our topics range from Power-to-X (PtX) technologies and climate change mitigation in energy-intensive industries through to practical implementation of EU environmental and climate policy, and on to the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in environmental protection, conservation and climate action.
