Since 1 January 2018, ZUG has been represented by Managing Directors Corinna Enders and Michael Kracht.

Corinna Enders, Managing Director

Corinna Enders graduated in law. After a brief spell working as a lawyer she joined the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) in 2008, where she worked in various divisions. From 2012 to 2016 she was seconded to the Federal Foreign Office and assigned to the German Embassy in Nairobi, as Deputy Permanent Representative of Germany to the United Nations Development Programme (UNEP) and the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat). Back in Berlin, she was a member of the German team at the international climate change negotiations, focusing for the most part on organising COP23 in Bonn under the Fiji presidency. She was appointed managing director of ZUG on 1 January 2018.

Michael Kracht, Managing Director

Michael Kracht graduated in law. He was appointed Managing Director of ZUG in January 2018. From 2001 to 2017, he held various positions in the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU). He worked, for example, as a specialist for international affairs, nature conservation law and cross-sectoral environmental law, and coordinated the International Climate Initiative (IKI) from 2011 to 2016. From 2015 until the beginning of 2018, he was also a member of the Adaptation Fund Board, most recently as Chair.
